Stag and hen dos in Gran Canaria, sorted by group size
One number decides most of this: how many of you there are. Six people and twenty-six people want completely different boats, and the fare on each one is built in a different way.
From €220 for two or three hours, priced for the boat and not per head. Six is the ceiling. A paddle board and snorkelling kit come with it, and one of you takes the helm after a run-through. Bring your own food, drink and music. There is no skipper and no transfer, so you meet it on the quay in Puerto Rico.
Two to eight on wheels: buggies and jet skis
Buggies go out six at most, in convoy, with room for 2, 3 or 4 in each one; fill the two-seater between you and it works out at €65 a head. The driver needs a valid licence, and the minimum age is confirmed on WhatsApp rather than printed here. Jet skis take one or two riders per machine, from €65 for 30 minutes, with a full hour also available.
Ten and upwards: the boat party
From €59 a head. This is the 250-capacity departure, the only shared boat big enough to absorb a large group without anybody being split off. Music, entertainers, an open bar including mojitos and food, over four hours from 15:00. You will be sharing the deck with other groups, which suits some parties and definitely not others. The return transfer is billed separately, €5 each on top.
The bits groups forget to ask about
The private catamaran comes without a skipper. Somebody sober takes the helm.
A jet ski off the boat and parasailing are paid on deck and priced by season, except on the boat party, which fixes a jet ski at €30 for 15 minutes.
Buggy passengers finish the route covered in dust. Not the clothes you are going out in that night.

If the sea won't let you out
Groups usually build a whole trip around one fixed date, so this matters more to you than to most. If conditions keep the boat in port that day, the outing shifts to another day or you get every euro back. We would rather set that out now than debate it on the morning with twenty people standing outside a hotel.
