The little Venice end of this coast. Four activities collect from here, and the boats you board sail from Puerto Rico, further east along the coast. On Fridays the market takes over the harbour, which changes how the whole morning works.
On Friday mornings the market fills the harbour and the streets behind it, and half the island drives over for it. If you are staying here, either take a morning sailing and walk the stalls late, or leave the boat for the afternoon departure and give the market its proper hours. If you are based further east, a Friday market followed by an afternoon on the water is one of the better days on offer. Parking is the thing that goes wrong; the traffic backs up along the coast road well before ten.
The dive centre works this coast with hotel collection included and full kit — tanks, weights and a guide with you. Insurance for the dive is charged separately. A guided snorkelling trip is €35, and a first try dive is also available, priced when you enquire. It is the one activity where being at the western end puts you nearest to where it actually happens rather than furthest away.
